We keep this simple. We only ask for what we need, and we never sell your information.
This policy explains how Homeward Bound of Wooster and Wayne County, Inc. handles information you choose to share with us through this website. It was last reviewed in 2026.
Information we collect
This website is a simple set of pages. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not run advertising trackers on it.
You share information with us only when you choose to, for example when you send an email to one of our addresses, call the phone number listed here, or make a donation. In those cases we receive the details you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, and any message you send.
Website analytics
We use two analytics services to understand how people find and use this site, so we can make it easier to use: Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. They collect things like which pages you visit, how long you stay, roughly where in the world you are, and what kind of device and browser you use. Microsoft Clarity also records how visitors move, scroll, and click on a page, which helps us spot parts of the site that are confusing.
We do not use either service to identify you personally, and we do not use them for advertising. If you would rather not be included, most browsers offer a Do Not Track or blocking setting, and Google publishes an opt-out add-on for Google Analytics.
Donations
Online donations are processed by our giving partner, GiveButter, on their own secure platform. Your payment details are handled by GiveButter and their payment processor, not stored on this website. Please review GiveButter's own privacy policy for how they handle your information.
Email list
If you join our email list, we keep the email address you give us and use it to send occasional updates about the shelter and ways to help. Signups are collected for us by Scroll Theory Forms, a service that stores them securely on our behalf. To stop receiving updates, or to have your address removed, email contactus@homewardboundwwc.org and we will take care of it.
How we use your information
We use the information you share to respond to you, to process and acknowledge donations, to coordinate volunteering, and to keep records required to run a nonprofit. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
Sharing
We share information only with the service providers that help us operate, such as our email and donation platforms, and only as needed to provide those services. We may also share information when required by law.
Your choices
If you have contacted us or donated and want to know what we have on file, or you would like it corrected or removed, email contactus@homewardboundwwc.org and we will help.
